HIGHRANK is in pre-launch. This page explains exactly what we capture when you join the waitlist or contact us, why we capture it, and what you can do about it.

1. What you give us on the waitlist form

When you join the waitlist we store the following in our database:

Email address — required. Used to notify you at launch and to deduplicate entries.
Company name — optional. Helps us understand who is listing.
Website URL — required. The site you plan to list on the leaderboard.
Region — optional. Your pick of US, UK, India, or Global so we know which board you care about.
Category — optional. The leaderboard category you plan to compete in.
Description — required. A short note (up to 300 characters) about what you want to rank.
Referral source — if you arrived via a link containing a ?ref= parameter, we store that value so referrers can be credited.
Timestamp — the date and time you joined.

2. What you give us through the contact form

If you use the Contact link, we store your email address and the message you write, plus the time it was sent. We use this only to reply to you.

3. What is collected automatically

Analytics — we use PostHog to understand page visits and interactions. This may include session replays and standard device/browser metadata.
IP address — used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not build profiles from it.
Local browser storage — the admin area stores a login token in session storage. No tracking cookies are set by us beyond analytics.

4. How we use your data

Notify you when HIGHRANK launches.
Reply to feedback or questions you send us.
Plan launch-day placement by category and region.
Prevent spam, bots, and duplicate entries.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers. We will never email you asking for passwords or payment card details.

5. Who processes your data

MongoDB — database storage.
Resend — transactional email delivery for notifications.
PostHog — product analytics.
Our cloud hosting provider — application hosting.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep waitlist entries until launch or until you ask to be removed — whichever comes first. To delete your entry or feedback message at any time, use the Contact link on the home page and we will remove it.

7. Security

Access to stored data is restricted behind an authenticated admin interface. Form endpoints are protected by honeypot checks and rate limiting. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
